Elphin Gold Organic Farm is a 6 generational family farm located in the small hamlet of Elphin. Our new CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) venture begins in June 2015 which will offer weekly fresh picked farm-raised food boxes to members at $399 for 20 weeks, with pick up at the farm. Your weekly share of fresh and local food will be listed on our blog the previous week http://elphingoldorganics.
Friday is harvest day when we pick a diversity of vegetables and herbs in season. We distribute our produce at local Saturday morning markets, as well as prepare our CSA food boxes for pick-up. Meat and maple syrup may be added or substituted upon your request. Pick-up times will be organized at the time members confirm their CSA share.

We grow a large varied garden, and sell at 3 local farmers markets. We have operated without any herbicides, pesticides and chemical fertilizers for 19 years and we grow using healthy, natural, organic, sustainable methods.
Our full time work on the farm keeps us busy throughout all four seasons: We tap 500-600 maple trees, have a herd of Holstein crossed with Red Angus cows, 6 rabbits, a flock of 100 brown egg layers, and we buy in 3-4 piglets and 100 meat birds which are raised outside during the summer months. Grain for the chickens is purchased from a certified organic farm. Our livestock has access to pasture, fresh air and are fed mostly what we grow and harvest on our farm.
